Novade Product Update for January 2021

 

Easy monitoring of on-site workforce ratio

Users of the COVID-19 Safe Restart package will now be able to easily monitor the ratio of safety officers to workers on-site through an added functionality in the People Module. This enhancement enables users to effectively drive HSE performance by enforcing high safety compliance and safeguarding the safety culture in the field.

Novade Quality

  • Added the ability to customise the X and Y axis labels in the Units by Status Dashboard.
  • Added the ability for unit managers to be notified whenever a defect/form in one of the units they manage changes status.
  • Added comments to the Inspections’ PDF export.
  • Added the ability to have a site level and database level counter for forms.
  • Mobile – added a scan QR code button to quickly access units instead of having to go through the steps of selecting a unit.
  • Web – added spatial hierarchy filter, as well as multi-select capability for units status filters to the maps view. 
  • Fixes: 
    • The Excel export did not include the archived defects count.
    • Signatures were not displaying due to the mismatch of names.
    • Homeowners receiving errors when lodging defects.
    • Mass deleting forms from a project.
    • Sorting defects by lodged date.
    • It was possible to merge cases from different units on mobile.
    • Exporting attached Inspections when exporting linked forms.
    • An HTML issue which caused some dashboard items to display vertically instead of horizontally.
    • Subcon users could not edit photo descriptions. 
    • IPad users could not view calendars correctly.

Novade Safety-HSE

  • Added the ability to edit comments. 
  • Actions – added manual archival support for Actions. 
  • Weekly PTWs – added the ability to assign groups as daily signatories.
  • Observations – allowed the display of comments on photos on the Web.
  • Fixes: 
    • Signatures were not displaying due to the mismatch of names.
    • Duplication of forms causing the Inspection object to go missing.
    • WPTW users not able to see them in My Tasks.
    • Large PDFs not being exported to email.
    • Subcons were able to see other users’ WPTWs.
    • Subforms not being archived themselves despite being linked to archived main forms.

Novade Reports

  • Major enhancement to the display options on the dashboards.
  • Additions: 
    • The ability to include timecards of people from other teams when duplicating reports.
    • Detailed Excel export of the Breakdown dashboard.
    • The ability to check-in people not belonging to any team.
    • Creation of a new Activity standard field: Get value from a Quality Form. 
    • A new dashboard for workforce bonuses.
    • An absence code to include in the workforce working hour dashboard.
    • A search bar when adding Equipment to a report.
    • An Asset to have multiple statuses during one shift 
    • A restriction to prevent users from entering some special characters in text fields 
  • Fixes:
    • Overtime was not computed properly. 
    • Copying Equipment data from a previous report. 
    • The timecard delete option was not appearing. 
    • Some Activity columns were missing in the Excel export. 
    • New supply use was created instead of being updated. 
    • Include the weather stations of Hong Kong and other locations.
    • The relationship between Activities and resources breakdown was missing.
    • The Excel export sent by mail. 

Novade Maintenance

  • Additions:
    • The ability for Client Admins to add additional files to an equipment certificate.
    • Modified the notification time for expiring certificates to 12p.m. instead of midnight.
    • Addresses added in Requests are now copied to the Jobs. 
    • Power Users to delete files attached to assets. 
  • Fixes: 
    • Submitting jobs or inspections. 
    • Exporting forms to Excel.
    • Work durations not displaying. 
    • A link in a notification was opening an incorrect page. 
    • Questions were not working in subforms. 

Novade Activity

  • Added a check to ensure that Activity templates that have data associated with them are not deleted.
  • Modified the behaviour for the green bar that appears next to Task to appear when there is at least one form attached to the form in a completed state. 
  • Improved the code to reduce “out of memory” errors on old phones.
  • Fixes:  
    • Forms showing that they had been duplicated even when they were not.
    • Users in the workflow were not receiving notifications. 
    • An error when clicking on submit in forms.
    • Subcon users being able to access and act on tasks.
    • An issue with importing tasks 
    • An issue with user rights being overwritten by team assignments.
    • Hidden fields not working in Activity forms. 

Novade People

  • Added the ability to track the ratio of Safety Management Officers (SMOs) to workers in zones on a work site.
  • Added the ability to check-in/check-out from a location using thermal scanners.
  • Added a dashboard to aggregate COVID-19 Safe Restart data.
  • Fixed an issue with Excel imports of People not working. 

Project Center

  • Added the ability to display a Help Center number in the Homeowner view of the app.
  • Added admin logs for Inspections. 
  • Matched the auto archival time period settings with the manual archival time period settings.
  • Client admins now have access to the Sherlock function to analyse databases and can modify auto archival. 
  • Implemented functionality to add a template to all projects easily.
  • Fixes:
    • Modifying or adding a type of absence.
    • Automatically retrieving HK public holidays. 
    • The assignment field of workflow not working for groups.

Novade Insights

  • Novade Quality: 
    • Ongoing major revamp of all the quality dashboard in order to move out of Beta.  
    • Site performance: order of dashboard improved, (example: defect by site up). 
    • Change colour code of overdue defect and rejection ratio to follow the existing app color code.  
    • Review and improve title formulation across dashboards. 
    • Addition of tooltip information for all dashboards. The user can get information about the dashboard and data from the top right of each panel.  
    • Review title and colour on company performance dashboard.  
    • Remove indicator for case completed but not close on Case Analysis Dashboard. 
    • Minor UI change for better readability in Case Analysis dashboard.  
    • Adding a table for adoption by contractor and by project. 
    • Adoption, add an indicator on which sites are most active.  
    • Defect progress added with information.  
    • Improvement in the drill-down hierarchy.  
  • Novade Safety-HSE: 
    • Added rejected PTW indicator and variation in time.  
    • Order of filter in Adoption dashboard change changed for consistency. 
    • Added a bar chart for rectification time by the user and by the company regarding Actions.  
    • Added a counter for ctive safety user in adoption dashboard.  
  • Novade Reports – daily adoption changed to monthly adoption in Adoption dashboard.  
  • Overall – The pie chart colour changed to be consistent with the Novade color palette.  
  • Fixes: 
    • Quality forms  Fixed an issue where some safety forms are included in quality forms when the project set up included both quality and safety module.  
    • On the distribution of defects per case in the Quality/Case analysis dashboard. 
    • The actions count was wrong because of old actions not having a creation date.  
    • Subform was displayed in the form dashboard because of wrong linkage.  
    • Action by type was not consistent after some filtering.  
    • The daily refresh of data did not happen.
