Novade Product Update for August 2020

 

Novade’s Cyber Security Certification

Novade has attained its IMDA accreditation and Cyber Essentials Plus certification. More details on the certifications can be found here.

Multi-language support has been added for Defect master lists and Locations in Novade Quality. We are also pleased to announce that Client Admins can request and download Novade Desktop database files directly. There is also an additional security feature where users need to have password protection or access controls set on their device before they are allowed to login to Novade.

Novade Quality

  • Expanded the ability to add managers for units on projects in the construction phase.
  • Added the ability for standard users to merge cases and move defects.
  • Change in terminology for users designated as Managers of Units – they are now referred to as Unit Managers instead of just Managers.
  • Added the ability to set a form template sequence by project.
  • When confirming a case or defect, the dialog box now displays options ‘Yes/No’ instead of ‘Cancel/OK’.
  •  Improved UI to skip the template selection step when there is only one template available.
  • Improved Notification preferences for defect assignments.
  •  In the Defect wizard, drawings will not be displayed unless it is mandatory to pin defects.
  • Added the ability to display photos on a map if they have GPS information.
  • Improved PDF export for Defects without Cases, not to show irrelevant information like case number fields.
  • Web:
    • Added a filter to select a date range to export defects to Excel. This is to prevent issues when exporting a large number of defects.
    • Improved table view of forms to position the status column next to the template name.
    • Added an additional column in the Case view to display tags.
    • Improved the import function for Tags to trim trailing white spaces to prevent what appeared to be duplication of tags.
  • Mobile:
    • Optimised performance for large defect master lists.
    • Improved the Unit view’s UI which now displays defect descriptions in the list view of defects, instead of repeating the unit number. 
    • Added the ability to View All Units even if there are no defects, forms, etc, created in units.
  •  Fixes:
    • Subcons were able to view and rectify defects not assigned to them.
    • The left menu was not showing for Inspections on the web.
    • Updated target completion dates were not syncing with the database working days setting.
    • The assignment to a group was not working in the subforms.
    • Markups on files disappearing.
    • Defects not displaying after sorting on mobile.
    • Values from formula type fields not being exported to excel.
    • Hidden subform fields not displaying properly in the main form or exporting to excel.
    • Defect PDFs being generated without any data.
    • A JavaScript error when just lodged defects were being deleted.
    • Defect types not displaying properly in the defect wizard.
    • Subforms created from a custom button were not able to be exported to PDF.
    • Sorting by clicking on the header was not working on the web case/defect table list view.
    • Sort by Rank was not working on mobile dashboards.
    • Defect Master List was not opening in Project Center.
    • The PDF export was not showing all subforms.
    • The progress of forms in percentage was calculated incorrectly.
    • Duplication of a form.
    • Subform fields not displaying in the correct order.
    • The sort function did not work in the Archived Forms table view.
    • Sorting by column for inspections and forms pinned to the left panel.
    • Creating new forms on Android for some projects.
    • Exporting forms in custom PDF format if PDF files were attached to the form.
    • On mobile where custom scripts to retrieve datasets was not working.
    • The calendar view only showed upcoming appointments and not those that have been completed.
    • Defect PDFs not in the standard format.
    • Adding comments to Inspections.
    • Opening the Info tab for a Unit on the web.
    • Exporting the Defect by Unit excel.
    • Exporting forms to PDF.
    • Missing attachments when exporting to PDF.
    • The Defect lodging UI on iOS was disrupted due to changes made to enable users to go to the Case view after lodging a defect.
    • The functions Forms.SetValue was not working for Date/Time fields.
    • Importing the Defect v/s Location excel template.
    • The partial sign-off PDF was displaying all the details of the defects instead of just a list.
    • Exporting Case PDFs without images was not working.

Novade Safety-HSE

  • Added the ability to see the location of photos attached to various Safety objects on a map; only if the photo has GPS data recorded via the Novade app.
  • Incidents – added two new dashboards: Types by Hazard and Man Days Lost.
  • Actions:
    • Added a filter to sort by creator.
    • Actions – added the ability to Reopen Rejected Actions.
  • PTWs:
    • Added archived PTWs to the Excel export.
    • PTWs – added the ability for users to revoke their own PTW at any point before the final stage.
  • Forms – added the ability to Export to a custom Excel format.
  • Fixes:
    • A custom field of type button was not displaying on Mobile.
    • The PDF export function was not working on Mobile.
    • Configuration errors were displayed for correctly configured templates.
    • Photos added After Rectification of an Action were being exported as Before Rectification.
    • A file attached to a PTW was not being exported to PDF.
    • The next person in the workflow of an Incident was unable to view the attached files.
    • Forms by Unit dashboard reflecting the status of PTWs instead of Safety Forms.
    • Users in the next step of a workflow on PTWs were unable to see the Action button.
    • Actions table view on the web could not be sorted.
    • Photos were not included in the PDF exports of restored meeting forms and Safety Inspections.
    • Accessing the Safety module.
    • The Creator of an Action was shown as the person who Rectified it in the exported PDF.
    • Subcon users were unable to see their own drafts.
    • On the Web, where an attendee could not be added to a meeting.

Novade Reports

  • Added the ability to duplicate custom fields in Equipment and Activity templates.
  • Added the ability to select from all teams and templates when setting up a diary template.
  • Added an additional step (Categories) to the Asset wizard when adding an Asset to a Report.
  • Added the ability to choose between “My Team” and “Other Teams” when adding timecards to a Report.
  • Added the ability to see the cumulated value of a Received Supply.
  • Dashboards:
    • Cells on dashboards are clickable and lead to the relevant view.
    • UI improvement (new color palette, table straighter).
    • For the Activity dashboard, the Activities are grouped by Activity Type and Activity Template.
  • Added a setting to change the way of computing timecard working time (from the breakdown hours instead of from the check in / out hours).
  • Mobile – added the ability to add bonuses.
  • Fixes:
    • The date displayed on a Report inconsistent with the calendar date.
    • Not being able to select a unit in an Activity.
    • Some timecards had “No Team” displayed next to them.
    • The export of a report was failing
    • The visibility of a Report by its creator or an actor of its workflow.
    • Custom fields of type for Form were being created without a template.

Novade Maintenance

  • Removed the need to use the extension .pdf or .png when linking certificates to assets.
  • Added the ability for a requestor to choose from all assets on a site when creating a repair request.
  • Colours used in Maintenance module modified to harmonise with all Novade modules.
  • Optimised the performance of the mobile app when toggling between a Form and My Actions.
  • Mobile – added a filter for Request Severity and Classification on My Actions view.
  • Web – added additional filters to the calendar view.
  • Fixes:
    • On the web calendar view where users were unable to click into Inspections generated by recurring events.
    • Users not receiving Pull notifications.
    • Users not being redirected to the form view when clicking on a workflow notification.
    • The Excel import of a job not updating the Job Classification field.
    • An Update message displaying even if the uploaded Excel was not modified.

Novade Activity

  • Fixes:
    • Photos not being exported with forms.
    • Not being able to view a Task or Form after loading Archived Data.
    • Not being able to view a photo after attaching it to a Form on mobile.
    • Some users in the workflow not able to see forms.

Novade People

  • Added a function to be able to export the last 30 days temperature recording to Excel.
  • Added a field for gender.
  • Created a new dashboard in People for viewing temperature records.
  • Fixes:
    • Checking out from a location causing Android phones to crash.
    • Resetting passwords.
    • Homeowners access to modules was not restricted when importing a large number of homeowners
    • Importing new homeowner type users.
    • Projects were not being removed from Employee type accounts via an Excel update.

Project Center

  • Added the ability to include photos in broadcast messages.
  • Added support for multi-language Defect master lists and Locations.
  • Added the ability for Client Admins to request and download Novade Desktop database files.
  • Added the ability to check whether a device is password protected allowing the user to finish logging into Novade.
  • Added the ability to have a pre-defined field assignee available in the workflow.
  • Fixes:
    • Clicking on a template in the table view was not responding.
    • Accessing project defect lists
    • Updating user rights via an Excel import not working.
    • The right to change to NC was missing from the Excel import.
    • The incorrect project access being shown in Activity user rights.

Novade Insights

  • General:
    • Added more clearance for bar chart data label to display properly.
    • Improved cybersecurity on server vulnerability and for Cyber Essential certification.
    • EU Insights clients are now hosted by an EU Server, includes the storage of all data.
  • Reports:
    • Added equipment utility analysis.
    • Added No. of Team Workers by Site.
